Greener Futures for Local Authorities

Through its online questionnaires, the Greener Futures website
collects information about the lifestyles and surroundings
of school children and their families. PECT uses this information
to create Sustainability Data Reports for local authorities.
These reports are used by policy makers in local authorities
as important information bases for informing local policy
and research in the following areas:

The
quantity of information collected and subsequent quality of
the Sustainability Data Reports is dependent on the number
of schools within a local authority that are using the Greener
Futures website. To ensure that each local authority can fully
benefit from their report, PECT provides training to local
authority education officers on how to use the Greener Futures
website and on taking Greener Futures workshops in schools.
