Peterborough Green Festival 2007
Saturday 26 May - Sunday 10 June

Celebrating Your Environment

Peterborough's Green Festival was launched on Saturday 26 May and marked the start of a two-week Festival which will see a wide range of interactive events and activities taking place around the Peterborough region. We aim to create a fun and dynamic environmental experience in which everyone can get involved.

The Green Festival aims to raise awareness of local and global environmental issues and enable people to take positive action towards sustainable living. This year's theme will be CLIMATE CHANGE. We hope that while you're having fun, these two weeks will inspire you to take your own positive action towards reducing the impacts of Climate Change.

Principal funding for this year's Green Festival has been provided by Perkins and the Caterpillar Foundation. For more information about Perkins, please visit www.perkins.com

The Green Festival is co-ordinated by Peterborough Environment City Trust with support from the Wildlife Trust, Hereward FM, the Environment Agency and Natural England.

BBC Springwatch Festival
Peterborough Central Park -10 June 2007, 10.00 am onwards

Enjoy an action-packed event with live music and a wide range of hands-on activities and challenges to try out. There will be plenty of exciting things to see and do throughout the day, so you will never be bored!

This family-friendly community event will focus on all aspects of wildlife, conservation and the environment. In the BBC arena, visitors will have the opportunity to sign up to 'Do One Thing' as part of the BBC's year-long 'Breathing Places Year of Action' campaign. There will be a film crew on site too - so you might even get on the TV!

Through Peterborough's 'Breathing Places Year of Action', we want to encourage people to explore the great outdoors, get up close and personal with wildlife and create Breathing Places throughout Peterborough for everyone to enjoy.
