The Materials Exchange
The Materials Exchange is a FREE online information service
where organisations can access information about others' redundant
stock, surplus raw materials or material requirements. Its
main aim is to help businesses to dispose of surplus materials
for little or no cost, enable others to source cheaper raw
materials that others no longer need, whilst reducing the
amount of useful materials going to landfill.
The service operates on the principle that one company's waste
is another's raw material. The Materials Exchange was launched
in April 2003 and is available free of charge across Cambridgeshire.
It currently has over 200 registered users.
