BBC
'Breathing Places'
Peterborough
Environment City Trust is working closely with Greater
Peterborough Partnership, Opportunity Peterborough,
the BBC - as one of its 'Breathing Cities' - and with
the Evening Telegraph's 'Go Green' campaign to co-ordinate
a 'Year of Action' which will give a real boost to the
city's environmental aspirations.
Peterborough hosted a BBC Springwatch Festival on 10
June in Peterborough's Central Park to launch its 'Year
of Action' . This will
be followed by a year of smaller activities designed
to help people think about ways in which they could
work to improve the environment in which they live.

yesterday (16 October) at the Voyager School in Peterborough.
The event was attended by teachers from in and around
Peterborough along with the Mayor of Peterborough who

Inaugural Eastex
Conference (October)
The first Eastex
Annual Conference took place a the Keystone Innovative
Centre, Thetford on Wednesday 10 October. Eastex, the
unique materials exchange scheme for the East of England,
is a free service for businesses and organisations.
The scheme uses a website (www.eastex.org.uk)
to connect those with waste with those requiring goods.
