The Peterborough Transport Audit

PECT's Transport Audit, undertaken in partnership with Perkins Engines, Peterborough City Council and Newcastle University's Transport Operations Research Group was published in September 2003.

The Audit: 

Assembles a comprehensive database of Peterborough's transport facilities

Establishes levels of transport supply and demand in the city

Gives full consideration to environmental and social criteria

Uses survey results to set targets and shared monitoring systems for sustainable transport planning

Transforms the targets into a programme of practical projects for implementation by public, private and voluntary sectors, working in partnership
